DAY 1 VANCOUVER ARRIVAL
Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Admission to The Lookout atop Vancouver Harbour Centre with spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight in Vancouver.

DAY 2 VANCOUVER TO KAMLOOPS
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. En route you will pass through the fertile Fraser Valley and the scenic Fraser Canyon. One of the canyon's true highlights is Hell's Gate, where you will watch water torrent past the canyon's walls at its narrowest point. Upon leaving the Fraser Canyon, the train will follow the Thompson River to the city of Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops.

DAY 3 KAMLOOPS TO BANFF
Continue your journey eastwards to the Canadian Rockies.  First, you will travel through vast ranchlands to Shuswap Lake.  Next, pass Craigellachie, where the "last spike" was driven completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885.  Beyond Craigellachie is Rogers Pass with its tunnels, glistening glaciers, and snow capped-mountains. Before crossing over the Continental Divide into Banff National Park, the train will travel through the unique Spiral Tunnels in Yoho National Park, a remarkable engineering achievement. Upon arrival in Banff, collect your rental vehicle and drive to your hotel. Overnight in Banff.

DAY 4 BANFF
Exploring Banff National Park
Explore the many natural wonders found in Banff National Park on your own with your rental car. Some of these include Johnston Canyon, Lake Minnewanka, Bow Falls, Castle Mountain, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Overnight in Banff.

DAY 5 BANFF TO CALGARY (123 km/76 miles)
Travel through Kananaskis Country and the ranching regions of Alberta before arriving in Calgary. Drop off your rental car in downtown Calgary or Calgary Airport where your tour ends.

At the Columbia Icefields you will have the opportunity to ride on a Snocoach (not included) to the middle of Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Jasper.

DAY 5 EXPLORING JASPER NATIONAL PARK
Today is free to explore Jasper National Park with your rental car. Among the highlights are Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon, Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Lake and Whistler's Mountain. Overnight in Jasper.

DAY 6 JASPER TO LAKE LOUISE
Travel to Lake Louise this morning. Be sure to visit Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks while visiting the Lake Louise area. Overnight in Lake Louise.

DAY 7 LAKE LOUISE TO CALGARY
Travel through the Kananaskis Country and vast ranchlands before arriving in Calgary today. Drop off your rental vehicle in downtown Calgary or the Calgary Airport where your tour ends.

Day 1 Vancouver

Day 2 Vancouver to Whistler (105 km/65 miles)
Travel north with your rental car on the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway, past Shannon Falls, Howe Sound and into the world famous resort of Whistler. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Whistler.

Day 3 Whistler
During the summer, Whistler offers a variety of optional activities, including a spectacular gondola ride up Blackcomb Mountain, biking or walking along valley trails, or golfing at one of Whistler's prestigious golf courses. Overnight in Whistler.

Day 4 Whistler to Sun Peaks Resort (326 km/203 miles)
Travel further into British Columbia's interior and end your day at Sun Peaks Resort. Overnight at Sun Peaks.

Day 5 Sun Peaks to Jasper (396 km/246 miles)
Continue your journey to the Canadian Rockies and the mountain town of Jasper. You will pass by Wells Gray and Mount Robson Provincial Parks. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 6 Jasper to Banff (265 km/165 miles)
Travel to Banff via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Points of interest along the way include Athabasca Falls, the Columbia Icefield, Lake Louise and Peyto Lake. Overnight in Banff.

Day 7 Banff
Today explore Banff National Park with the freedom of your rental car. Visit any or all of its famous areas, such as Johnston Canyon, Lake Minnewanka, Bow Falls and Sulphur Mountain. At the end of the day return your rental car in Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Day 8 Banff to Kamloops
Depart onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops. You will pass through the Spiral Tunnels, marvel at the scenic Rogers Pass and travel beyond historic Craigellachie and Shuswap Lake. Overnight in Kamloops. Breakfast and lunch onboard.

Day 9 Kamloops to Vancouver
Continue along the Thompson River to the Fraser Canyon passing the turbulent Hell's Gate. The Rocky Mountaineer will journey through the Fraser Valley to the city of Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch onboard.

Day 10 Vancouver
Your Mountain Vistas tour ends with check-out from your Vancouver hotel.

Day 2 Vancouver to Kelowna (331 km/205 miles)
Travel to the Okanagan Valley and the city of Kelowna. The rest of the day is free to enjoy this scenic area. Overnight in Kelowna.

Day 3 Kelowna
Kelowna is located alongside Okanagan Lake, home of the legendary Ogopogo. The city, surrounded by scenic beaches, is ideally located for exploring the many orchards, world-class vineyards, golf courses and towns found nearby. Overnight in Kelowna.

Day 4 Kelowna TO SUN PEAKS RESORT (420 km/261 miles)
Travel further into the interior of British Columbia and end your day at Sun Peaks Resort. Overnight in Sun Peaks.

Back onboard the Rocky Mountaineer you will follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus into the snowy peaks of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Pass by Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 meters (12,972 ft), before entering Jasper National Park. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon. Upon arrival in Jasper, collect your rental car and drive to your hotel. Overnight in Jasper.

DAY 4 EXPLORING JASPER NATIONAL PARK
